The well completion engineering approach is dictated by each aspect beginning with how it is drilled and ending with how it is
produced. IPT's integrated philosophy and approach is discussed within the subsets of this section: Completion Design, Stimulation Optimization and Wellbore Configuration. Specific applications in the Barnett shale, Haynesville shale, Marcellus shale, Bakken shale, Cleveland, Bone Springs and many other formations have unique characteristics. For many years, IPT has applied, evaluated and studied the interrelationships within this complex web of fracturing/producing characteristics, procedures and
activities. Our database of over 20,000 well completions that includes reservoir, completion and hydraulic fracture stimulation engineering analyses has given us the ability to use multiple data sets to rapidly evaluate most well
completion related aspects.
Each step of a completion process dictates the next step and this is particularly true in any of these shale play applications because they are all different. This integrated approach is what typically determines the difference
between a typical well and an above average one.
IPT was involved with over 2,000 well completion engineering projects in 2009 and over 12,000 since the year 2000. We have experience in most horizontal plays for example the Barnett shale, Haynesville shale, Marcellus shale, Bakken shale, Cleveland, Bone Springs and many other formations.
Our experience includes very shallow to deep, high temperature extreme applications. We have extensive experience with most of the new multi-stage completion methods in horizontal wells and numerous coil tubing
completion applications in many different environments. At all stages
