Vertical Wells

IPT's vertical well optimization studies integrate the completion engineering, hydraulic fracturing aspects and dominant producing mechanisms. Understanding the inter-relationship of these aspects from how a well is drilled, completed and stimulated to its final wellbore configuration is what makes the difference between an average and an exceptional well.

Our intent is to work with the client to identify the variables that should be pursued to continue the evolution of an understanding of a completion, stimulation and reservoir response. The end result is that each well is optimized for its unique set of conditions, thereby maximizing the economic benefit from the reservoir.

We have done integrated optimization studies where we confirm the current process is appropriate and others where dramatic modifications have been made that result in significant production improvement. Every application is unique and it is the linkage of the various disciplines that makes all the difference.
