Pressure Transient Analysis

IPT's pressure buildup and draw down transient analysis approaches in vertical and horizontal wells are the same as discussed in the Production Analysis section except they also integrate Saphir as the pressure transient analysis tool. We use finite difference reservoir simulation as a primary tool to maximize the uniqueness of the solution in our petroleum reservoir engineering approaches. The historical well production and flowing pressure response is history matched in the reservoir simulator and coupled with the analytical pressure transient analysis software to provide an improved solution that is specifically focused towards understanding the well completion and hydraulic fracture stimulation effectiveness.

Our ability to couple the well completion and hydraulic fracture stimulation know-how with the pressure transient analysis interpretation improves the quality of the conclusions and recommendations to the client. We have expertise at identifying upside potential because we constantly apply and study numerous completion and stimulation approaches.

IPT has performed pressure buildup and draw down transient analyses in many different vertical and horizontal well configurations, formations and reservoir types. Our clients receive the benefit of our prior experience and we look forward to helping you.
