Technical Training

IPT's stimulation specialists undergo a significant amount of in-house technical and field training. IPT once taught a large number of open industry hydraulic fracturing schools and our internal schools are much more advanced and linked with actual field implementation. Our stimulation specialists are taught how to interpret pre-treatment diagnostics and time-proven methods to address different treatment responses. The significant differences in the service company chemistry combined with their liquid additive systems and how to obtain optimized lateral proppant distribution are key aspects to the benefit IPT provides our clients.

We have significant field training where we deploy multiple stimulation specialists on-site for many treatments each month. Our stimulation specialists are stepped through a process with senior staff members beginning with the simplest slick water treatments to the most complex deep well or horizontal application. Our training is focused towards optimizing the well response and not to simply put the treatment in the ground.

FracproPT is used by IPT to design, interpret diagnostics and evaluate every stimulation treatment and our specialists are taught many advanced methods for using the software. IPT was a primary instructor of this technology when it was first developed by GRI and RES. From our 16+ years of experience using the software, we have developed specific methods and procedures where we teach how to use it to track the details of a stimulation treatment and read the treatment response.

This training is intended to set a basis for each of our stimulation specialists to have a continuous learning process to evolve and improve. We have hired many 5-10 year service company engineers that have told us they learned more in a few months at IPT than they learned the whole time they were at the service company. There is a lot to learn to become a Fracmaster.
